Lectures are conducted online on both Saturdays and Sundays, making it convenient for students who are working or living outside the area.
Practical sessions are conducted in person on weekends during the last month of each semester, for approximately 4 weeks per semester. (Roughly falls in February and July)
Examinations are held at the end of each semester, on Sundays from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. (Roughly falls in March and August)

Applicants with the following qualifications will be considered for admission to the Master Degree programs in Biochemistry & Biotechnology:
B.Sc. in Biological Science or Physical Science with Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Plant Science, Plant Biology, Molecular Biology and Plant Biotechnology, and Chemistry as subjects, OR
Equivalent qualifications at SLQF Level 5 or 6 with Biology and Chemistry as subjects, acceptable to the Senate of the University of Kelaniya.

Yes, payments can be made in two installments as announced under the Application procedure (link back). In addition, payments can be made with People’s Bank or NDB bank credit cards and arrangements can be made with the company to pay the full educational expense payment in 24 or 48 month installments with 0% interest (Add the credit card offer links)
